Suppose that you’ve got a credit card that you can use as much as you want. On top of that you don’t have to pay back a single dime you spend with that card. Unlimited confidence is much better than the magic credit card, because it can offer you all the things that you can buy with that card and even more. And more than that unlimited confidence is much more realistic than the magic credit card. The question is how you can develop unlimited confidence.

It’s human nature that new desires form in us every day. There’s no reason for fighting, ignoring, or avoiding our desires. The first step to unlimited confidence is to acknowledge our desires, no matter what they are. As soon as we start judging ourselves by anything we desire, we sabotage our confidence at that very moment.

In which ways do we judge our desires? We judge some of our desires to be beyond our reach. We don’t believe that we can accomplish them. We judge other desires to be childish or silly. We label some of our desires to be immoral, or plain sick. We don’t even admit those desires to ourselves.

No matter what you desire, don’t judge it. Desires aren’t something you decide on consciously. You don’t choose your desires. The best you can do with them is to accept them as they are.

Acknowledging and accepting your desires don’t mean that you have to pursue all of them. Your desires aren’t conscious, but your choices are. Choose consciously which desires you want to pursue and convert them into crystal clear goals.

Keep your goals in sight. Go over them every day. Be open to new ideas. Maintain a list of ideas and tasks to accomplish those goals. Prioritize your goals and tasks, and act on them. Pick the most important one each day and carry it out. Completing one task is infinite times better than thinking about all the items in your list, starting some of them, but not finishing any of them.

Do your best to realize your goals and let the universe figure out the rest. Don’t get attached to the results. Don’t expect anything. Let the universe take care of the results. Use the outcome as feedback to improve yourself, but not as a way to validate yourself.

Being confident isn’t about being better than your brother, colleagues, or neighbors. Being confident is about knowing that you’re doing your best at each instant of your life. As you keep doing your best to realize your desires, you’ll witness two things. First, the desires that matter will become a part of your reality. Second, the desires that don’t matter will vanish along with the uncomfortable feeling of unrealized desires.

If you accept your desires, do your best to realize them, and let the universe take care of the rest, unlimited confidence is inevitable.

Why do you do what you do? What’s your motivation to do it? Money, security, power?

Unless you’re doing what you’re doing just for the sake of doing it, you’re seriously wasting your life. You’re not only harming yourself but also the universe by wasting a unique, irreplaceable, one of a kind resource of the universe.

That’s what you are: a unique, irreplaceable, one of a kind resource of the universe.

It’s your responsibility to make the most out of your life. And the only way to do that is to do what gives you the most joy, satisfaction, and happiness. Do what you’re passionate about and what you do effortlessly.

You are completely free. You can do what you want to do and you don’t need to do what you don’t want to do. Any idea that opposes this fact is an illusion, a misperception, or a limiting belief, which you have to get rid of as soon as possible.

There are infinite moments in your life. At each of those moments, you have infinite options to choose from. Since you started reading this article, an infinite number of moments have passed and you had infinite options to choose from at each of them. Nonetheless, you’ve chosen to continue reading this article. In other words, you’ve limited yourself to reading this article and you’ve neglected all the other options, again and again. You’re spending your life the same way.

Think of all the moments in your past. Were you aware that you had infinite choices in all of those moments? Where would you be now, if you exercised your freedom of choice consciously, at every moment of your past?

Think about the future. You know that you have infinite choices in each moment of the rest of your life. What are you going to make out of this knowledge? How are you going to make your choices from now on? This is a radical shift in your thinking.

You haven’t exercised your freedom of choice to the extend it was possible. You’re out of shape exploring all of your options at each moment. You won’t discover many of your options at the beginning. However, as you keep practicing your freedom of choice, you’ll be able to find out countless options at each moment of your life.

You have infinite choices in each moment of your life.

How can you explore the most of your choices? Relax, nurture and nourish yourself. Drop any idea of thinking hard, working hard, suffering, or striving. Those will only cripple your creativity. The brilliant ideas will come to you only if you allow them in. And the only way to allow them in is to relax, nurture yourself, and feel joy.

How can you spot the best option at each moment? Just choose the one that you’re most passionate about. Anything else is a huge waste of the irreplaceable resource that is you. By doing what you’re passionate about, you’re going to accomplish effortlessly beyond any reason.

The ideas will come. They will come from somewhere. It doesn’t matter were from. You need to be inviting for them. You have to be relaxed, joyful, grateful, complete, and satisfied. If you’re inviting enough, the ideas will arrive. It’s important to allow them in, be welcoming, and grateful, so that they continue to come in abundance. That is the key to effortless abundance.

Let’s admit it, no matter how nice people we are, serving others feels like a burden to us. Even the idea of it makes us uncomfortable. However, it doesn’t need to be. Serving others can be effortless. And it’s most valuable when it is effortless.

Serving others is most valuable when it is effortless!

We all have great resources, but we aren’t aware of them, just because we take things granted.

Think about all the books on our shelves that we don’t consider reading again. They can make a huge difference for people who cannot afford them.

Think about all the clothes that you won’t wear again.

Or think about microfinancing. You can make a huge difference in someone’s life just by loaning her $25 on kiva.org.

If you find a free resource like a great article on web, just share it with others.

Say thank you when you’re grateful for whatever reason.

Share your knowledge with those that might need it.

Help out Wikipedia: write or edit an article. Yes, you can do it. Give it a try!

These are all the things that don’t require any effort by your side, but that can make a huge difference in someone else’s life. Just do them and see how they make you feel resourceful. That’s one of the most uplifting feelings and it will definitely transform your life for good. Not to mention the gratitude you’ll receive from the people you serve.

If you look for more ways to serve others just check 100 Ways to Serve Others by Mike King, which was also the inspiration for this post.

What’s your way of serving others effortlessly? Just share it using the comment form below!
